Accounting Associate

Background & Purpose of the Job :
As an Accounting Associate in the retail fashion industry, you will support daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting across store and warehouse activities. This role is responsible for monthly closing, journal entries, inventory reconciliation, lease accounting compliance, and maintaining financial data accuracy to support business operations.
What You'll Do :
- Prepare monthly closing activities, including depreciation, prepaid amortization, and Right-of-Use (ROU) accounting under PSAK 73.
- Handle monthly general journal entries related to payroll, BPJS, operational expenses, and other accounting transactions.
- Calculate and record PSAK 73 journal entries for new store openings, lease renewals, and store closures.
- Perform stock balancing reconciliation and maintain inventory records between stores and warehouse operations.
- Maintain and update Chart of Accounts (COA) within financial statements.
- Monitor and follow up outstanding advances to ensure timely settlement.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and aligned with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support audit requirements and provide necessary documentation when needed.
- Collaborate with store operations, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth retail accounting processes.
What You’ll Need To Succeed :
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in retail or fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of journal entries and accounting processes.
- Good knowledge of PSAK standards, especially PSAK 73.
- Familiarity with SAP system is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
